The Electric Vehicles Industry Alliance of India (EVIA) a registered body, serves as an Apex National Association for EV Industry in India, with Membership representing the Electric Vehicles Industry, Batteries & Component manufacturers, Charging Stations and related tech & services companies.
‘Alliance’ is frequently used for industry associations, often to signify a more action-oriented, focused, or collaboration compared to a traditional trade association. While traditional associations often focus on lobbying and broad member services, alliances are frequently formed to achieve specific, time-bound goals, such as developing technology standards, creating market opportunities, or addressing supply chain issues.
The EVIA mandate includes advocacy and furthering the interest of the sustainable & green transportation including Electric Vehicles, Energy Storage, Green Hydrogen, Electric Vertical Takeoff & Landing (eVTOL) aircraft including advanced aerial vehicles designed for urban mobility, related emerging and future technologies.
The EVIA aims to safeguard, promote and ensure faster adoption of Electric Vehicles in India and to the global market.

Dr O.P. Agarwal, Professor of Practice at IIT Roorkee, is also a Distinguished Fellow at the Niti Aayog and a Senior Advisor to the World Bank HQ. He was a member of the IAS from 1979 to 2007. He held several positions with the national and state government, including Joint Secretary (Urban Transport) in the Ministry of Urban Development and Secretary for Transport in Assam. He was the principal author of the National Urban Transport Policy, which was adopted in 2006 and has remained the key document guiding urban transport investments since then.

Professor Bijaya Ketan Panigrahi has been working as a faculty member in Department of Electrical Engineering since 2005 and was founder Head of Centre for Automotive Research and Tribology (CART) at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He is also an associate faculty at Bharti School of Telecommunication Technology and Management, Amar Nath and Sashi Khosla School of Information Technology and Yardi School of Artificial Intelligence, IIT Delhi.

Vibhuti Garg is Director, South Asia with the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis. Vibhuti’s focus is on promoting sustainable development through influencing policy intervention on energy pricing, adoption of new technologies, subsidy reforms, enhancing clean energy access, access to capital and private participation in various areas of the energy sector.

Pawan Mulukutla is the Executive Director of Integrated Transport, Electric Mobility, Clean Air & Hydrogen at World Resources Institute (WRI) India. Pawan is responsible for providing strategic direction and implementing the overarching objectives of these programs. He also leads the teams’ development of synergistic and action-oriented research programs to support India’s ambitious decarbonization journey through effective, equitable and inclusive mobility solutions. His leadership at WRI India also builds upon the ongoing global dialogue and collaborations towards transitioning to sustainable energy consumption models based on low-carbon pathways.

Gagan is Director of the CEEW Green Finance Centre (CEEW-GFC) where his work is focused on advancing the energy transition in emerging economies.
Gagan was previously Adviser to CEF in which capacity he provided support to the team in the areas of clean energy markets and the finance ecosystem. In parallel, he was also engaged in independently advising entrepreneurs and corporates on capital raising and deployment strategies in the renewable energy space.

BC Datta has over 40 years of work experience with a significant part of it in the automotive sector.
He was working as Vice President-Corporate Affairs with OLA Electric. Previously, he was Vice President-Corporate Affairs, Hyundai Motors. He has established robust relations with Central & State government agencies and is a part of various industrial committees and advisory panels at National, Regional and State level. He carries extensive experience in areas of taxation and public policy, and has held many leadership roles during his earlier stints with Toyota Kirloskar Motor and BPL-Sanyo Technologies.
